Research Description

We study salt sensitivity of blood pressure and how diet plays a role, specifically dietary fructose. Our research integrates cardiovascular and renal mechanisms of salt sensitive hypertension and our model animal is a rat. We are also working on translating this research to people and for this reason we are doing secondary analyses of large databases (i.e. CARDIA).
