Description

When we think about games, we think about fun, yet games contain many ingredients common to all conflicts. Game theory, the mathematical study of games, is the basis of rational decision-making in economics, political science, biology, philosophy, and computer science. We will explore the basics of game theory, focusing on a surprising connection with nonlinear partial differential equations discovered a little over a decade ago.
