Biography

 Dr. Mattoo is a board-certified pediatric nephrologist and nationally known expert on kidney disorders and hypertension in children. Patients with developmental abnormalities of the kidneys and urinary tract, hypertension, urinary tract infection, kidney stones, nephrotic syndrome, metabolic bone disease, lupus and other immunological kidney disease, and serum electrolyte abnormalities are among the conditions he treats. Dr. Mattoo also consults and provides second opinion via telemedicine for patients who are unable to travel to Detroit. 

In addition to his role as a pediatric specialist at Wayne Pediatrics, Dr. Mattoo, serves as professor of pediatrics and urology, and vice chair for the Department of Pediatrics at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also serves as a board member for the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium, where he also serves as treasurer.

In his spare time Dr. Mattoo enjoys playing golf.
