Research Description
My laboratory uses multi-modal in vivo neuroimaging techniques in combination with human laboratory models to investigate neurobiological mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders, especially substance use disorders (SUDs). Specifically, we are interested in elucidating neurobiological predictors of drug self-administration with the overarching goal of identifying novel treatment targets. Recent research in my lab has focused on stress and neuroinflammation among cigarette smokers and individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD).
