Research Description
Investigate signaling pathways contributing to prostate cancer metastasis, specifically chemokine receptor signaling and its novel cross talk with lipid kinase. How these signaling pathways mediate cellular invasion by modulating membrane bound lipid messengers in assembly of invasive protrusions in cancer cells. A second project is deciphering the mechanisms associated with anti-androgen/androgen receptor resistance in prostate tumors. We use cell and patient tumor models to identify the resistant pathways and correlate these pathways with disease progression in patients.
