Research Description

I investigate how urban planners operate, how the planning process works (or doesn't), how local officials make decisions about land use, and how government actors decide to cooperate (or not) across jurisdictional boundaries. I use a combination of qualitative research, survey research, GIS and spatial statistics, and applied regression to investigate these questions.
